The tap on her shoulder was unexpected. She had just been walking her dear Bahij, the Boxer happily going off each time she took the leash off. She’d planned to enjoy a free afternoon for once, to just stay outside until sunset, throwing sticks at Bahij and maybe go see Lozea at the shelter, just to keep her company, but as usual, life didn’t quite go as planned. Anna turned around, green eyes wide with surprise as she blinked up at the stranger. And up. And up again, because he was a head taller than she would ever be. “I… Somewhere to eat ?” He had a slight accent– subtle, but there still, and she found herself wondering where he came from. “I dunno. I don’t really go to restaurants– I mean, I cook myself, so there’s no real need ?” Except when she was lazy, she just ended up ordering pizza or Chinese food. “Sorry ? I’m not really helpful.”

                     Viktor couldn’t help but feel guilty to have interrupted her and his smile turned into one that was more sheepish- apologetic, even. “Yeah — or to sightsee maybe ?” He offered, running a hand through his hair in thought. Maybe to go out and wander without directions wasn’t such a great idea after all. “No, no, it’s alright. I just got here and wondered if there was anything special, something only people from here would now ?” He gave her a warm smile, and when he spotted the dog near her, his attention had suddenly been diverted to the pet.  A pang of longing hit him at the thought of Makkachin, his own dog that he had to leave for the competition. Kneeling down, a hand reached for the animal before he stopped, looking up at her for permission. “Uh — can I pet her… or him ?
